Who is Adam Smith? I am originally from Port Orchard, WA, but I currently live in Las Vegas with my family. My interest in art started at an early age. I grew up drawing my favorite cartoon characters and falling in love with Disney movies. This encouraged me to take formal Drawing and Painting classes in high school and community college.

I took a break from art at that time and decided to pursue a career in sales. When my wife was accepted into Veterinary school, I decided to go back to college to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Arts & Animation. I attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh’s Online Division, and I graduated in 2009. This exposed me to 3D Modeling, Computer Graphics, Animation, Motion Graphics, Video Production, Photography, Illustration, Graphic Design, and Websites.

This website started out as my graduation portfolio, but I decided to use it to reach out and offer my style of art to the public. I decided to focus on my areas of strength which are Illustration and Animation. Illustration comes more naturally to me based on my interests, but Animation was born out of having a deep desire to learn this style of art. The projects take a considerable amount of time to create, but I really enjoy creating them and I plan to continue exploring in this area.

In addition to creating art, I also enjoy acting, stand-up comedy, cooking, basketball, swimming, golf, and going to the movie theater.  However, I really enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My plan is to keep learning and creating and see where this goes. My current goal is to try to begin illustrating children's books and painting murals in kids bedrooms, gyms, schools, and churches.  If you feel that I may be able to help you please contact me.
